Focusing on the conceptual aspects of the metabolic cycle as a symbol of growth and regeneration, in need of expansion of the city, the idea of generating a linear city pattern is imposed as the most suitable because of its flexibility and adaptability to the continuous growth and development. Having in mind the mapping of the specifics of the location - topography, natural resources and existing infrastructure, the perceived problems are being controlled and used as a potential for further development. This approach defines the infrastructure scheme as a conceptual skeleton of the whole project. The linear axis suggest the direction of the potential growth and the wasteland mixed with the productive land shows the main characteristic of metabolic cycle - the process of permanent adjustment to the constant changing necessities.
The grand channel along the mountain is supposed to collect the overflow of rainwater and direct it to the artificial depression of the existing topography which will prevent the flood risk, and the main system of channels and pipes use the existing ground water as a permanent supply for the housing units and the irrigation needs of the agricultural fields. This infrastructural intervention is imposed as a generator of new city forms; a skeleton and university campus with student housing, research centre with a botanical garden and other secondary programs as accommodation facilities for the employees and visitors and other social, cultural and recreational programs attached on it.
Considering the fact that this is the most suitable area for agricultural use of the land, the whole concept of the intervention is led by maximal use of the fertile soil so a mixture of productive landscape and "wasteland" alternately meanders through the free ground floors. Strung in the valley like a bunch of flowers, the blossoming gardens impress with its thousands of blushing crowns, wobbly and noisy. While on the one hand people gather indigenous fruits from the densely crumbled peaks, on the other hand, the researchers work tirelessly to test plants that are not suitable for local climatic conditions.
